Employment/Job Development
As part of TSEN programming the individuals have the ability to work with a literacy coordinator to create and update resumes as well as develop interview skill sets. Support staff will then support and assist individuals to explore employment interests. Individuals will work with their support network to gain the necessary tools to scout volunteer, work experience and paid employment sites in their community.
Once a site has been obtained the support staff will accompany the individual (employee) to their employment training. The support staff will continue the employment training until both the employer and employee are comfortable that the employee can do the work independently or with minimal supports. TSEN will continue to provide follow-up services to ensure job stability and the employees' well-being.
